Look alive, foolish mortals! Walt Disney Studios released a teaser trailer for the comically creepy adventure Haunted Mansion. The original Haunted Mansion movie came out back in 2003 and starred Eddie Murphy. This new rendition can be seen in theaters starting July 28, 2023.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Justin Simien, Haunted Mansion features an all-star ensemble cast that includes LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon, and Dan Levy, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto as The Hatbox Ghost.
Inspired By Classic Theme Park Attraction
The Haunted Mansion attraction was inspired by the Haunted Mansion estate in New Orleans. The attraction features a unique blend of gothic architecture, Victorian design, and supernatural elements. Guests board a “Doom Buggy” and travel through different rooms of the mansion, encountering ghosts, ghouls, and other spooky surprises along the way. I can say this was one of my favorite and more memorable rides at Disney World.
The Haunted Mansion has become a beloved attraction for many Disney fans, thanks to its clever design, immersive atmosphere, and timeless appeal. The ride has spawned numerous spinoff products and merchandise, including a feature film starring Eddie Murphy in 2003. The Haunted Mansion remains one of the most popular attractions in the Disney parks.
