The streaming wars may be over but one final battle remains.

Some people may be unaware, but there’s still one Blockbuster store left that remains in business. It’s located in Bend Oregon and commonly known as The Last Blockbuster. It’s the last remaining Blockbuster store in the world after all other locations have closed down due to the rise of online streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu.

Taking place during the apocalypse, after the “Streaming Wars”, we follow a cockroach making his way through the wasteland until reaching infamous store.

The Bend Oregon store released their commercial on social media.

200% jump in sales after the commercial

The store’s manager, Sandi Harding, says business has seen a 200% jump since the vintaged themed commercial’s release 2 weeks ago.

Sandi Hardi, the store manager at the location, was quoted as saying, “We didn’t have that $7 million budget (cost of a 30 second Superbowl ad spot), but wanted to do something fun. It was such a great experience to film it, to put it out on social media and to see everyone appreciate our hard work.” –NewsNation
